Bilsteintal archery course
The Bilsteintal archery course is operated by Bilsteintal e.V. and is located west of the game park on the other side of the L 735. All guests are welcome.
What awaits you on the course
First you can warm up at the shooting range at the starting point. The course itself comprises 28 stations with three-dimensional fantasy figures over a distance of 3,000 meters.
The blue shooting points are intended for advanced shooters. Yellow launch points are marked for beginners. The distances to the 3D targets vary between 10 and 40 meters.
Use of the course is permitted during the following times:
- April 1 to October 31 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- November 1 to March 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The trail is located entirely in a semi-natural Buchenwald forest. The path is unpaved and follows the natural terrain. Sturdy shoes and suitable clothing are therefore strongly recommended. The rules of the course must be observed.

RULES
- Entering the grounds: By entering the archery course, every archer accepts the course rules set out below. Compliance with the rules is mandatory and will be monitored. Non-compliance with the rules will result in immediate expulsion from the course.
- Time of use: Use of the course is only permitted during the following times:from April 1 to October 31 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.from November 1 to March 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Course book: Every shooter must sign the course book before using the course. The specified usage fee must be paid. The use of the course is only permitted with valid liability insurance.
- Shooters under the age of 16: Shooters under the age of 16 may only use the course when accompanied by an adult.
- Equipment: Compound bows are permitted. Hunting bows, medieval bows and crossbows are prohibited without exception!
- Smoking ban: Smoking is prohibited on the entire course. Dogs must be kept on a lead. Trees and plants in the forest must not be damaged.
- Personal responsibility: Each shooter is responsible for his/her own shot. Before shooting, each archer must ensure that the line of fire and the danger zone behind it are clear. Drawing the bow "over the target" is not permitted.
- Course direction: The course may only be followed in the specified direction. Shooting is only permitted from the shooting stakes and the designated areas.
- Arrow search: When searching for arrows, the bow must be clearly visible in front of the target.
- Targets: Only the designated 3D targets may be shot at. In the event of thunderstorms, storms and fog, shooting must be stopped immediately and the course left.
