Bredelar Monastery, which was converted into an industrial site following secularization, was mainly used as an iron foundry over the past 200 years. Following on from this, the "Lehr- und Schaugießerei Kloster Bredelar e.V." was founded in December 2004.

From 1826, the secularized Cistercian monastery in Bredelar near Marsberg was converted into the Theodorshütte. The public part of the building has been home to the meeting and cultural center since 2009. The old "Putzhütte" is currently being restored. The training and show foundry will be put back into operation in mid-2017.

New is the "IN FORMation" in the gallery; here, color contrasts bring the development of the sacred and industrial space "into shape".
