The aim of the occupational therapy used by Dietmar Mies and his team is to maximize the independence and quality of life of each patient. The aim is to regain the ability to act that has been caused by developmental disorders, disabilities or injuries through appropriate occupational therapy measures.
After completing his training, Dietmar Mies first worked in a rehabilitation clinic, then in a psychiatric clinic and a physiotherapy practice. In 2008, the Warstein native opened his own occupational therapy practice in "Legoland", followed by relocations within the city center due to constant expansion of services and staff. The Dietmar Mies occupational therapy practice has now been based at Hauptstraße 71 in Warstein since 2012.
The practice's team consists of nine employees who have qualifications in all major specialist areas. The spectrum ranges from developmental support for children, hand and pain therapies, brain performance and memory training to the treatment of neurological and orthopaedic conditions and dementia therapies. The team also offers Marburg concentration courses as well as dyslexia and dyscalculia training in the therapy rooms.
Together with Dietmar Mies, the occupational therapists at Warstein's Maria Hilf Hospital are responsible for geriatric complex treatment.
