The SGV Nuttlar section's Evenkopfhütte hiking home is located in the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park, approx. 1.5 km from Nuttlar in the direction of Rüthen. It was built in 1972 and is connected to the electricity, telephone, water and road networks and has gas heating installed. It has a recreation room for approx. 50 to 70 people, a newly equipped kitchen and new sanitary facilities for men and women. There is ample seating around the hut and a permanently installed barbecue and fire pit.
Below the Evenkopfhütte, by a stream and surrounded by trees, there is a campsite with sanitary facilities which, in conjunction with the home, is an ideal place for youth groups of up to 70 people to stay during the vacation season.
Adjacent to this is a large play area with a water treading pool.
From the associated parking lot, from which several circular hiking trails start, you can also access the Ruhrhöhenweg, which runs from Winterberg to Duisburg. You can also reach the SGV hiking network on the Plackweg via a connecting path. The Heim is a popular destination for many hikes, where you can enjoy a relaxing end to the day.
