The mapping of the Giershagen district is the floor plan of the Geological Garden. The various rock formations are shown in different colors according to their geographical location. The rock specimens are then mounted at the place where they were found. The name of the type of rock is written on plaques, while information boards tell you everything you need to know about Giershagen's geology and are illustrated with diagrams.
The Geological Garden can be reached via the Grube Reinhard recreational area (Meilerplatz). Those arriving by car can follow the sign for the Bionik-Pfad path. Cyclists can reach the Geological Garden via the Diemelradweg.
