The Ginsterkopf - or rather the Ginsterkopfs, as it is actually three mountain peaks in a row - is a physical challenge even for experienced hikers. But those who dare to make the climb will be rewarded with a fantastic view. To the southwest, the Bruchhauser Steine, mighty volcanic rocks, rise out of the treetops. Further west, Elleringhausen and behind it Olsberg. But it's not just the eyes that are delighted up here. Your ears are also treated to a wonderful, natural silence. Narrow paths with soft forest floors wind their way over the three hilltops. Enjoying nature could hardly be more pristine and genuine!
Incidentally, the Ginsterkopf is also a Sauerland-Seelenorte. You can find out what makes it such from author Michael Gleich on the Sauerland Wanderdörfer website.
