Gold visitor mine Eisenberg Korbach
Turmweg 4
34497 Korbach
Telephone: +49 5631 53232
Korbach's local mountain with the picturesque village of Goldhausen is a popular excursion destination. Gold miners have been searching for the coveted precious metal here since the Middle Ages. Evidence of mining can still be found today - above ground on the "Goldspur" nature trail and underground in the visitor mine. Helmet on, rubber boots on - and you too can experience historical mining up close!
Other worthwhile destinations are the Eisenberg castle ruins and the 24-metre-high Georg Viktor Tower with a magnificent panoramic view over the Waldeck region.
