The Open Mind Place Heidentempel is a resting place for hikers and is located directly on the Heidenstraße, a 1000-year-old trade route between Leipzig and Cologne.
At the transition between forest and clearing, the wooden building consists only of a round roof slab on wooden pillars with seating for pausing and resting. An incision with a view towards the treetops and the sky symbolizes the darkness of the forest and the light of the fields. The Heidentempel is a place of exchange with nature and other people.
