There is much to be pleased about: Lake Hennesee is getting a new passenger ship.
However, the ship is still under construction. The previous MS Hennesee has been sold, technically overhauled and is now in service on another lake. The new passenger ship is expected to be fully electric and therefore completely CO2-neutral on Lake Hennesee from autumn 2025.
Until then, there will unfortunately be no passenger shipping on Lake Hennesee
. Lake Hennesee is particularly popular with sporty guests, with cyclists, inline skaters and Nordic walkers on its eastern shore. On warm days, swimmers can be found in the bathing bay, and it is known as a good fishing spot for anglers. Technology enthusiasts can visit the inside of the dam and take a close look at the machines, pumps and turbines.
