The former mining town of Eversberg was founded in 1242 by Count Gottfried III of Arnsberg and is now a district of the town of Meschede. The Altstadt with its historic town center has been well preserved.

Eversberg stands for peace and relaxation and, in addition to the idyllic landscape of the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park, also offers many insights into the history of the 18th century.
