Hohenzollernpark
Von-Vincke-Straße
58553 Halver
From 1923 to 1870, the Hohenzollernpark was used as a burial ground by the Protestant community in place of the former cemetery around the church. In 1910, the parish sold it to the municipality of Halver on the condition that it was never to be built on, but only used as a park. This was also entered in the land register.
In 1911, the cemetery was leveled and established as a park. The name Hohenzollernpark was chosen with the intention of erecting an imperial monument on it. Instead, a memorial was erected in the middle of the park to commemorate the people of Halver who died in the world wars.
