With the historic Jewish cemetery, the memorial plaque to the pogrom night in November 1938 and a total of 14 "stumbling blocks" in the town center, there are traces of "Jewish life" in Attendorn, which the expert and author Hartmut Hosenfeld leads the participants on with a lot of Wissen, exciting anecdotes, thoughtful moments and the odd "Yiddish joke".

Half of the money raised for the guided tours will be forwarded to the "Hupendo School" in Kangemi, a slum in Nairobi (Kenya) with more than 100,000 inhabitants.

The Jewish cemetery in Attendorn, where 33 gravesites are still preserved, is an open space for remembrance and encounters, where visitors can learn not only about Jewish burial culture, but also about Jewish life and the former Jewish community in Attendorn and the surrounding area. Guided tours, walks and commemorative events are part of the active educational work.
