At the Mielinghausen bathing area (below the vacation home settlement) there is a sunbathing lawn with public sanitary facilities and DLRG. There is a campsite with a restaurant nearby.

From Whitsun to September, the bathing areas are monitored by the DLRG from 14:00 on Saturdays and from 10:00 on Sundays and public holidays.

The current water temperatures can be obtained from the Meschede Tourist Information Office (Tel. 0291-9022443).

Directions

The nearest bus stop is "Meschede, Mielinghausen". The S70 bus line runs between Eslohe and Meschede along the Hennesee. It is approx. 600m on foot from the bus stop to the bathing area. There is a parking lot at the beginning of the street "Ober der Hasselt".
