PARK OF THE SENSES
A special place to relax, to enjoy, to switch off. Away from the playgrounds and action areas of Sauerlandpark Hemer, you can forget everyday life in the 'Park of the Senses', find your way back to your own center and enjoy our gardens.
The path can begin at the rock garden, to the sunken garden or the English garden room. It's worth exploring the details. There are so many hidden features for the eyes and senses in this part of the park. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the 2000 square meter Hans-Prinzhorn maze in Hemer, one of the largest in North Rhine-Westphalia, designed according to the classical models of the Renaissance. It forms the heart of the 17,000 square meter 'Park of the Senses', which is embedded in a wildflower meadow. If you have a little more time, you can also visit the beekeepers, who also present their work in the Park of the Senses.
You can relax in the Oasis of the Senses, right next to the kiosk, which serves coffee and pastries to visitors at nice weekends.
