The information board is located directly in the town center in front of the town hall in Schalksmühle. The citizen and customer office with further information on activities and hikes has these opening hours:
Monday and Tuesday: 7:30 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 16:00
Wednesday and Friday: 7:30 - 12:00
Thursday: 7:30 - 12:30 and 13:30 - 18:00
There is also a Öffentliche Toilette in the town hall and the town center with Kiepenlisettken, ice cream parlor, café and restaurant as well as other shopping facilities and the nearby Volmepark is ideal for a break.
