Schwenke village square (gateway to Südwestfalen)

Not far from the B229 between Halver (Sauerland) and Radevormwald (Bergisches Land), and therefore easy to reach by car, is the Schwenke viewing and village square.

In addition to the local sports facility, there is a great panoramic viewpoint with opportunities to linger, which offers an impressive panoramic view of the region and South Südwestfalen. The view extends over Lüdenscheid, Halver and the Nordhelle as far as the Unnenberg Tower in Bergisches Land. A panorama board provides information about the surrounding area and the views.

In addition to the viewpoint, the Scheuerpfahl Der in die Ferne schaut, an art installation by the local art association Vakt e.V., is located on the site.

There is also a boules court where you can linger and play.

The themed hiking and walking trail VolmeSchatz Panorama - Märkische Fernsichten runs not far from the viewpoint, with the aforementioned viewpoint as a highlight, as well as other local circular hiking trails. The Bergische Panoramasteig can also be reached from here.
