Surrounded by tall fir trees on the ridge of the Rothaar ridge, an almost four-metre-high steel sculpture weighing almost 64 tons stands at a crossroads: a group of gates and closure plates, which have been burned out of a common whole and open in different directions, form the artwork "Kein leichtes Spiel" (No easy game) by Ansgar Nierhoff. Like several other works on the WaldSkulpturenWeg, this sculpture addresses the conflict between regions that have been separated from each other territorially, linguistically, culturally and denominationally for centuries. A conflict that goes back to the late Middle Ages and the Reformation period. The quiet place allows walkers to share in the commonality of the formerly divided regions and the overcoming of borders.
