There was already a chapel in Oberrarbach in the 17th century, which was dedicated to Antinius the Hermit. This single-nave church was renovated and enlarged at the end of the 19th century. In 1951 it was demolished due to dilapidation and in 1952 the chapel, built in the neo-Backoque style, was rebuilt.
