Vinzenzkolleg Lippstadt: From brewery villa to spiritual center
A villa with history
In 1878, Wilhelm Kleine Sr, founder of the Weißenburg brewery in Lippstadt, built this magnificent villa in the Wilhelminian style. Inspired by a trip to Italy, he had a house built that was a testament to elegance and prosperity. The estate included not only the manor house, but also a large plot of land with a park and a coach house.
From private residence to religious house
After the First World War, the villa changed hands several times. In 1921, the Vincentians acquired the building and set up a boarding school there. Since then, the house has been inextricably linked to the order and serves as one of four spiritual centers in Germany. The chapel on the first floor is a place of peace and contemplation.
Insights into times gone by
The Vincentian College is a witness to days gone by. The strict separation of social classes in the building, which is reflected in the different entrances, gives an insight into life in the 19th century. The preserved hunting room bears witness to the Kleine family's luxurious lifestyle.

The Vinzenzkolleg used to be the home of Wilhelm Kleine Sr, the founder of the Weißenburg brewery in Lippstadt. He was inspired to build it during his honeymoon in Italy. There he stayed in a neoclassical villa, whose architectural style became the model for his new home in Lippstadt.
