Weekly markets are an important part of urban life. For the municipality, the weekly market is an important economic factor that attracts purchasing power to the city centers and helps to secure local supply. For the citizens of a town, the weekly market is not only a supplier of fresh food such as fruit, vegetables, spices, flowers, cheese, fish and meat, but also a meeting place for social contacts. A well-functioning weekly market helps to maintain the quality of life.
The weekly market in Warstein takes place every Saturday from 7.30 a.m. to 12 noon on the church square, temporarily on the church square of St. Pankratius Church in Warstein.
Up to 6 exhibitors and market vendors provide a colorful hustle and bustle in the town with regional (partly also organic) products.
The following exhibitors regularly take part in the weekly market:
- Ulrich Lüning (poultry, eggs and potatoes)
- V. Mertin (sausage and meat)
- Peter Lay (textiles, haberdashery and wool)
- Ewald Arens (honey)
- Sultan Mehmood (bags, belts and mixed goods)
- Spargelhof Grewing (asparagus)
- Sauerland Gastroservice (fruit and vegetables)
You will find plenty of free parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.
