Directions
This path is marked A1 and starts opposite the Schützenhalle at the hiking parking lot. Cross the country road at the Schützenhalle (please take care!) and turn left onto the "Hof zur Heid" path. The route now goes slightly uphill to the second fork in the path. Here you have the choice: turn right or left. We recommend the left-hand option. The path now leads you comfortably around the Sauberg and the Hardt, where you can enjoy the magnificent view. The bark beetle has raged here too and done a great job. Nevertheless, this loop is still relaxing. Back at the junction, you return to the starting point via the familiar route.
Equipment
Despite the good condition of the path, sturdy hiking boots are an advantage.

Sun protection is advisable in summer as there is little shade!

1) From Dortmund / Münster via the A 44 Dortmund - Kassel to the Werl junction, then A 445 towards Arnsberg to the Hüsten / Sundern exit, via the B 229 Hachen, then towards Sundern and on to Hellefeld 2
) From Kassel via the A 44 Kassel - Dortmund to the Werl junction, then continue as described under variant 13
) From Cologne via the A 4 Cologne - Olpe to the Olpe junction, take the A 45 Dortmund - Frankfurt in the direction of Dortmund to the Olpe exit, via Attendorn, Finnentrop, Rönkhausen to Sundern and on to Hellefeld4
) From Frankfurt via the A 45 Frankfurt - Dortmund to the Olpe exit, then continue as described under variant 3
