This beautiful forest adventure trail was lovingly built by hand in 2002 with a lot of idealism and "manpower" by the Westenfeld Ortsring.

Directions
From the parking lot at the Schützenhalle in Westenfeld, first follow Westenfelder Straße for approx. 150m to the left and turn into Bainkhauser Weg. Now follow the W1 markings along the "Sieben Fußfälle" to the Bainghauser Höhe. This is where the actual forest adventure trail begins. Schnappi, the forest crocodile, welcomes the children, who can take a swing on his back while their parents make themselves comfortable on the wooden swing. To experience the trail in its entirety, you should bring some time with you. Follow the signpost with the birds as a logo. From the tree guitar and the barefoot course, to the fox den and the ear trumpets, to the waterworks and many hand-carved sculptures, there is plenty to experience. Once you have walked around the entire path, you return to the village along the same route.
Equipment
As there are plenty of places to rest, a hearty backpack is a good idea.

In Westenfeld, a small bakery invites you to stop for a bite to eat.

Getting there
1) From Dortmund / Münster via the A 44 Dortmund - Kassel to the Werl junction, then A 445 towards Arnsberg to the Hüsten / Sundern exit, via the B 229 Hachen, then towards Sundern. In Sundern, head towards Freienohl and Westenfeld 2
) From Kassel via the A 44 Kassel - Dortmund to the Werl junction, then continue as described under variant 1.
3) From Cologne via the A 4 Cologne - Olpe to the Olpe junction, take the A 45 Dortmund - Frankfurt in the direction of Dortmund to the Olpe exit, via Attendorn, Finnentrop, Rönkhausen to Sundern. Continue as

14) From Frankfurt via the A 45 Frankfurt - Dortmund to the Olpe exit, then continue as described under variant 2.
