The start is at the Schützenhalle in Ostwig. Parking is also available here.

The path leads past the playground next to the Schützenhalle Ostwig behind the hall. There is a see-saw there. The trail continues over a wooden bridge over the Elpe and then turns right along the banks of the Elpe. The path is signposted throughout with the sign "Schaukelweg Ostwig".

Sturdy footwear. Individual sections of the trail lead across a meadow and a gravel path.

Public transiot

Bestwig is easy to reach by train. From Bestwig station, you can reach Ostwig with the R74 and R75 bus lines. The bus stop "Ostwig Schützenhalle" is located directly at the start of the swing trail.
