The trail is just as exciting as the destination. It starts at the bottom of the valley, between the shady bushes of the Oene stream. It first leads steeply, then more gently uphill. Along the well-known twelve stations of the Way of the Cross, the trail continues uphill. Once you reach the top, you have reached the natural highlight of the hike - theLausebuche, which is actually a lime tree. In this case, Lausebuche is the place name.

Directions
The hike starts at the bottom of the valley, at the Schützenplatz in Oberelspe. Turn right at the bus shelter on the main road and turn into the second street (Kreuzbergstraße). Follow the road until you reach the Vogelstange. Keep left there. At the beginning, the path leads between shady bushes along the Oene stream until we reach the old ascending Way of the Cross.This leads uphill along the well-known twelve stations to the natural highlight of the hike, the Lausebuche.Lausebuche is only a place name in this case, however, as the Lausebuche is actually a lime tree.Now it's time to take in the views as far as the horizon and the two neighbouring valleys. Enjoy the silence in this special place, listen "inwardly".With renewed strength, you then head back towards Oberelspe. From the crossroads at the Lausebuche, follow the "A12" signposts. This path will lead you back to the village.

Public transiot
Take the R68 bus from Lennestadt-Grevenbrück or Eslohe-Cobbenrode, get off at the Oberelspe stop.
Getting there
Take the B55 from Lennestadt-Grevenbrück or Eslohe-Cobbenrode to the center of Oberelspe. Turn into Schützenstraße (from Grevenbrück turn left, from Eslohe turn right) and follow the road until you reach the Schützenhalle.
