The Seelenortwanderung on the A4 circular trail leads for long stretches through the "Schwarzbachsystem mit Haberg und Krenkeltal" nature reserve, which is characterized by a heathland landscape and the Schwarzbach (the main body of water in the nature reserve). The nature reserve is an ideal retreat for rare and shy species and an ideal place to come to yourself.

In the area of the hiking parking lot, the path is asphalted and almost flat, so that the "Heinsberg Heid" nature reserve can also be experienced by people with limited mobility.

Information

Directions

From the start/finish point, the Hochheide hiking portal, the A4 circular hiking trail first leads down towards Hufeisenstein into the Schwarzbachtal valley. In the immediate vicinity of Hufeisenstein, the A4 circular hiking trail follows the course of the Schwarzbach stream (heading northwest) to the "Haus Schwarz" village. The path continues until we cross over a small wooden bridge to the other side of the stream. The bridge invites you to linger and let your gaze wander over the Schwarzbachtal valley once again. From there, follow the A4 hiking trail markings back to the hiking parking lot.Tip: From the small wooden bridge, the Rothaarsteig also leads along the Habecker Bach back to the starting point!

Equipment

Sturdy footwear is recommended; the A4 hiking trail leads along forest paths, some of which are gravelled.

Safety guidelines

Information about the rescue signs

Most hiking trails run away from towns and settlements and every hiker has thought about what would happen if an emergency were to occur. How can I be found here? Where am I anyway? Can the emergency services reach me?

But in an emergency, things have to happen quickly! That's why the hiking trail network in the Lennestadt & Kirchhundem region is equipped with so-called rescue signs throughout. The green and white stickers attached to the posts of the signposts have a number that you must give when making an emergency call. This means that the emergency services know exactly where you are and valuable time can be saved.
