The "Kump" information center is an attraction in itself: it is part of a historic group of buildings and houses an exhibition on the history of the former farming town that is well worth seeing. Hallenberg's ice house has also been preserved from earlier times. The townspeople once stored ice from the rivers there to cool food during the hot summer months. Now you can marvel at fascinating ice sculptures in what is probably the smallest but "coolest" museum in Germany.
