Halver

Halver is the westernmost town in Südwestfalen and, together with the neighboring municipalities of Schalksmühle, Kierspe, Herscheid and Meinerzhagen, forms the "Oben an der Volme" leisure region. And it has a lot to offer holidaymakers and day trippers. There is plenty of variety in terms of leisure activities and relaxation: the Herpine outdoor forest pool is one of the largest outdoor pools in NRW. Or you can simply enjoy the idyllic nature along the Halver stream. The nearby Aussichtsturm Karlshöhe is the starting point for several hiking trails along the fish ponds in the Herpine leisure area and the Wilde Ennepe nature reserve. Another highlight is the ride on the Draisinenbahn from Oberbrügge over the Herpine to Halver.
