Lippetal is a real cyclist's paradise. On the border between Münsterland and Sauerland, you can enjoy the fresh breeze even without an e-bike. The flat and natural landscape along the Lippe and Ahse rivers invites you to explore castles and churches worth seeing.
Lippetal - Rural.Lovable.Worth living. The municipality, consisting of eleven districts, extends over almost 130 km² in the north of the district of Soest. The Lippe flows right through the middle. It offers lush nature and contrasts: In the south, the typical characteristics of the Soest Börde with fertile fields and established villages, in the north the special features of the Münsterland with scattered settlements and parkland with old trees and forests.
The nature reserves along the Lippe and Ahse rivers offer unforgettable experiences for eyes and ears. There are alluvial landscapes that can be experienced with the senses, with opportunities to observe nature. During the migration periods from March to May and August to October, there is a lot going on. The Auenland cycle path connects these interesting points.
Here in the heart of Westfalen, you can experience hospitality with all your senses. Farm cafés and Biergartens invite you to linger and relax. There is the right rest stop for every guest. Not only home-style cooking can be found on the menus, the delicacies of international cuisine are also served. Seasonal produce dominates the menu, as salads and vegetables thrive in the local fields. You should definitely try the "Ruggen", the national drink of the Lippetals. Cheers!
