Aussichtsturm Karlshöhe
Frankfurter Straße 90
58553 Halver
Built back in 1893 on the Karlshöhe (438.5 m above sea level) in Halver, the Aussichtsturm Karlshöhe is considered the landmark of the town of Halver. On a clear day, the view from here extends as far as the Bergisches Land and across towards the Ebbegebirge mountains. The observation tower is a listed building.
A visit and ascent to the tower is possible by appointment during the opening hours mentioned. You can purchase your tickets in advance here. Visitors have to climb 100 rather steep steps before they can enjoy a unique view over the Sauerland and Bergisches Land.
The Karlshöhe in Halver is also the starting point for the great circular hiking trail through the wild Ennepe, as well as the themed hiking trail VolmeSchatz Freizeit - puzzle fun for young and old with lots of great puzzle boards along the hiking route. Information boards about the trails are available at the starting point at Karlshöhe.
The legendary hike through the Wild Ennepe (A2) also starts here.
