Until the 20th century, there were many farmsteads in the center of the spa town of Sassendorf. The old Hof Haulle farmstead on the Kolk and Sassendorf stream, the Rosenau, has survived - and been expertly renovated.
Bad Sassendorf now has a rustic and exciting new venue in the form of the old farmstead. Cultural events such as concerts, theater, cabarets and readings take place here and the Kulturscheune is also used as a cinema. Information can be found at
